Mulder joins Dutch contingent at Swansea

Swansea City have added to their growing list of Dutch footballers with the signing of goalkeeper Erwin Mulder on a free transfer.

Mulder left Heerenveen at the end of last season after opting not to extend his stay with the Eredivisie side and will now join compatriots Mike van der Hoorn, Leroy Fer, Luciano Narsingh, and Kenji Gorré in Wales.

According to Dutch publication Voetbal International, the Feyenoord academy graduate signed a three-year deal with the English Premier League side – and will provide stern competition for Lukasz Fabianski.

The 28-year-old brings experience of 216 games in the Netherlands for De Stadionclub, Excelsior, and De Superfriezen.

With the towering keeper arriving, manager Paul Clement will actively look to further strengthen the Swans, who avoided relegation from the top-flight last season, with young Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham likely to join Mulder as an off-season recruit.
