Giallorossi seal Karsdorp deal

Rick Karsdorp has made a "big step" in his career after joining Roma on a five-year contract from Eredivisie champions Feyenoord.

Negotiations for the 22-year-old right-back have finally reached a successful conclusion, with the Giallorossi acquiring his signature for a fee that could reach €19 million in add-ons.

Karsdorp progressed through the youth ranks at De Stadionclub and made his first-team debut in 2014 before going on to rack up 110 appearances in all competitions.

The Netherlands international is looking to take his game to the next level in the Italian capital, telling the club's official website: "Moving to Roma is a big step for me.

"I come here with great desire and enthusiasm to play and realise my dreams. I know I still have room for improvement and I hope to do that here."

Roma sporting director Monchi added: "Despite his young age, Karsdorp has already shown his qualities. We are delighted to be able to count on his performances and we are confident that he will fit Eusebio Di Francesco's style."
