Sampdoria striker Luis Muriel is hopeful of starting a new chapter in his career as he awaits news of a potential move.
The 26-year-old Colombian striker netted 11 times in 31 league games last season to help the Serie A side to a 10th-placed finish.
With an overall tally of 24 goals from 84 appearences since joining the club in 2015, Muriel has a solid record, that has not gone unnoticed by a number of top European clubs, including Inter, Lazio and Roma.
But the former Deportivo Cali and Udinese frontman, who has also spent time on loan with Granada and Lecce, said he would be happy to remain in Genoa if no deal is made.
He told ESPN: "There are a lot of rumours coming out about me.
"My agent told me he would only call me for something concrete and so far he has not called me. I hope he will do so within the next few days.
"But I am very calm. I renewed with Sampdoria and I'm not thinking a lot about what might happen."
