Newcastle goalkeeper Matz Sels is looking forward to a year on loan at Anderlecht after a frustrating season with the Magpies.
The Belgian signed for Rafael Benitez's side last year, but made only nine Championship appearances for the eventual champions.
Sels has now been sent out on loan to Jupiler Pro League champions Anderlecht, who secured Champions League football with their first-placed finish.
"I am very happy with this agreement," the 25-year-old told the Chronicle Live.
"Anderlecht is the greatest club of the land, and I hope I will soon be able to convince the staff, the other players and the fans of my capacities.
"Moreover, competing in the Champions League is a great challenge for me. I am looking forward to meet and get to know the rest of the team."
