FC Twente have pulled off a major coup with the signing of in-demand striker and last season’s Eerste Divisie top scorer Tom Boere on a three-year contract.
Boere netted a staggering 33 goals in 38 games for Oss in the second tier of Dutch football, which led to widespread interest from Eredivisie sides for the 24-year-old.
However, The Tukkers have snapped the former Ajax Amsterdam trainee as a replacement for Enes Unal, who's loan with Manchester City has come to an end.
The former Gent forward could not hide his delight after signing for Rene Hake's side, who finished in seventh place in the top-flight last season.
"I am very happy with this new step. FC Twente is a fantastic club with a mighty nice stadium and a fanatical following," Boere said upon his unveiling.
"The Eredivisie is obviously a step up for me and that I see as a great challenge to a chance to grow to a higher level."
