Former Paris Saint-Germain director of football Patrick Kluivert believes Marco Verratti wants to sign for Barcelona, but that the Parisians won’t allow him.
Verratti has been linked with a move to the Catalans, with the Italian said to be their primary transfer target, but he still has four years left on his contract and PSG do not want to lose him.
"I know the president very well. Verratti renewed last year for four years and I know that Verratti wants to come to Barca but PSG will not let him," Kluivert told La Sexta.
"It's going to be very difficult [for Barca to sign him].
"If a player is not happy in the end the one that decides are PSG."
Reports have claimed that Barcelona are willing to splash between €70m and €80m for Verratti, but Kluivert reckons the midfielder is worth even more.
He added: "Verratti's worth more than that. I think he's worth more than €100m."
