Antonio Cassano might not be the best person to take advice from, but he still offered it to AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, a reported target for Real Madrid.
Much like the teenage shot stopper is today, Cassano was once the most promising young Italian player when he signed for Roma to become the most expensive teenager in world football.
Donnarumma and his agent, the infamous Mino Raiola, caused outrage recently by refusing a new deal with Milan, potentially paving the way for him to join Real Madrid.
Cassano made the switch to Santiago Bernabeu in 2006, where his off-field problems continued, and he admits that the lure of Los Blancos is hard to resist.
"It would be good for Italian football if he remained in Serie A,” Cassano told Sky Italia. “But it is true that if Real Madrid are there, you cannot say no."
Cassano advised that "If I was in Donnarumma's place, I would stay at Milan for a few more years", but that bridge may already be burnt after angry fans threw fake money at Donnarumma while he was playing for Italy U21s.
