Jordi Mboula has opted to continue his development at Monaco after they signed the teenager from Barcelona on a five-year contract.
The 18-year-old winger was expected to extend his stay at the Camp Nou after coming up through the youth ranks at the famed La Masia academy.
But Mboula has decided to embark on a new adventure in France with the Ligue 1 champions, who have built their success on a youthful policy.
The Spain youth international becomes the fourth new arrival at Stade Louis II, with Youri Tielemans, Jordy Gaspar, Diego Benaglio and Soualiho Meite having already joined Leonardo Jardim's side.
Les Monegasques vice-president Vadim Vasilyev told the club's official website: "Jordi Mboula has shown very good things with the youth team of FC Barcelona and AS Monaco offers him an ideal environment to continue his progress.
"As we have done with players such as Bernardo Silva, Fabinho and Tiemoue Bakayoko, we will support him and help him grow in our team."
Mboula caught the eye earlier in the 2016/17 campaign when he scored a wonder solo goal for Barca in the UEFA Youth League against Borussia Dortmund.
