1. FSV Mainz 05's new coach Sandro Schwarz is said to be targeting Hamburger SV goalkeeper Rene Adler, whose deal with Die Rothosen expires at the end of June.
According to Kicker, if the deal goes through as expected, fellow keeper Jonas Lossl would be surplus to requirements in Rhineland-Palatinate.
The publication says that the Denmark international would be put up for sale should Adler arrive.
The 32-year-old is reportedly keen to continue his playing career where he has the chance to be the first choice. He said: "For two or three years I want to play football on a good level in Europe…in general, it is also my goal to play."
Die Nullfunfer could land the shot-stopper on a free transfer as his deal concludes at the end of June.
It is expected if the Leipzig-born star signs for Mainz, Jannik Huth and Florian Muller will deputise, with Lossl seemingly heading out the exit door.
