Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi believes striker Edinson Cavani deserves credit for helping the club win a hat-trick of trophies in 2016/17.
PSG won the Coupe de France, Coupe de la Ligue and Trophee des Champions last season with Cavani scoring an incredible 49 goals in 50 appearances for the Parisians.
As such, Matuidi, who himself made 50 appearances and scored seven goals, says that the Uruguay star is a big reason for PSG's success.
He told the club's official website: "Edinson had an exceptional campaign. He was so consistent. He's a great striker – he's proved it in the past and he's proved it again this season.
"In his first seasons with Paris, he was often playing in a wide role. Today he's the number nine and is scoring more. We need great players like him to win trophies."
