Ever since the days of Pep Guardiola, Barcelona and their youth teams have been known for their ‘tika-taka’ football.
This usually includes possession football, speedy short passes, clever one-twos, mazy runs, and unerring finishes from inside or just outside the area. Rarely do we see long-distance strikes like this one.
The video comes from Barcelona’s Under-12 Alevin A side as they beat Villarreal 3-1 in the La Liga Promises competition, and shows their third goal, which came courtesy of this superb strike from Gerard Hernandez. It took just two touches of the ball, kick-off and shot.
Sometimes simplicity is the most effective method!
