FC Bayern München continued the rebuilding process when they announced the signing of Corentin Tolisso on a five-year contract from Lyon.
The Bavarians giants bid farewell to two key players recently when Philipp Lahm and Xabi Alonso retired at the end of last season, leaving Bayern with sizeable holes to plug.
But they have wasted little time in finding a versatile replacement in Tolisso, who can play at right-back or in central midfield, and earned his first cap for the French national team in March after impressing for Les Gones.
The 22-year-old joins the German champions on the back of a fine campaign for Bruno Genesio's side, scoring 14 goals in 47 appearances across all competitions.
"I had a wonderful time at Lyon, and I'm very thankful for that," Tolisso told his new club's official website.
"Now I'm really pleased to be at one of the best clubs in Europe. I have great aims for my time at FC Bayern. Today is a great day for me."
He becomes the fourth new arrival at the Allianz Arena, with deals having already been concluded for Sebastian Rudy, Niklas Sule and Serge Gnabry.
