Monaco defender Abdou Diallo admits he has to start thinking about his career after hardly featuring for the Ligue 1 champions this past season.
The France Under-21 captain made just five league appearances for Leonardo Jardim's title-winning side, and has been identified by Fiorentina as a potential off-season signing.
While Diallo is grateful to Les Monegasques for giving him the chance to perform at the highest level, the 21-year-old centre-back feels he needs to be playing more regularly to progress his game.
"I'm very young and I'm not going to spit in Monaco's soup," the Frenchman said during a Facebook Live session. "It was with this team I discovered Ligue 1 and played in the Champions League.
"For the last year, I've thought mainly collectively, but now I need to think personally because I need to play. I have a place in the Under-21 team to maintain and I need to continue my progression."
Diallo is under contract at Stade Louis II until 2021, but found himself behind Kamil Glik, Jemerson and Andrea Raggi in the pecking order at the back for the Principality club.
