Keizer set to be named Bosz successor at Ajax

Marcel Keizer

Ajax Amsterdam look set to appoint Marcel Keizer as their new manager ahead of the new Eredivisie campaign after Peter Bosz left for Borussia Dortmund.

Bosz was snapped up by the Bundesliga side after leading the Dutch club to the Europa League final and runners-up in the Dutch top-flight with one of the youngest squads in Europe.

Now de Godenzonen have decided to promote from within their ranks with the Jong Ajax boss set for promotion to the first-team.

After leaving SC Cambuur last year to take over as the reserve team coach, the 48-year-old led his side to a remarkable second-placed finish in the Eerste Divisie.

According to Voetbal International, the current U19 coach Aron Winter will replace Keizer and former Netherlands defender John Heitinga will be appointed as the U19 manager.
