Stoke City have released Shay Given along with five other first players as they begin reshaping their squad for the new season.
Under-23 squad players Liam Edwards, Harry Isted, Joel Taylor and George Waring have all been let go along with Daniel Bachmann, but Lewis Banks, Jack Devlin, Dominic Telford, Mark Waddington, Tom Edwards, Jake Dunwoody and Shola Ayoola have all been offered new deals.
The former Blackburn Rovers, Newcastle United, Manchester City and Aston Villa keeper, who also spent time on loan at Swindon Town, Sunderland and Middlesbrough earlier in his career, leaves after just five Premier League appearances for the club this season, having joined in 2015.
An ex Republic of Ireland international goal tender, Given won the Championship with Sunderland in 1996, the Intertoto Cup with Newcastle in 2006 as well as the FA Cup with Man City in 2011.
Stephen Ireland, meanwhile, has also been offered a new contract as he bids to recover from a broken leg while Phil Bardsley triggered a 12-month extension to his deal, as Geoff Cameron signed a new two-year contract.
