AS Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has quashed reports linking him with a move to Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
The 22-year-old admitted that he has been a fan of PSG from a young age, but added that he sees no reason to join a club that finished the season below his current employers, the Ligue 1 champions.
"I can't leave Monaco to go to PSG," Bakayoko told Canal Plus. "It's impossible, because I've just finished champion ahead of Paris. I can't leave for a club that has finished behind me.
"PSG is a club I carry in my heart because I'm a Parisian and I was a supporter of PSG, like my family. They initiated me."
Bakayoko has also been linked with Premier League champions Chelsea, who are reportedly willing to table a £43m bid.
