Former FC Bayern München midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes it is important for the club to line up replacements for Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery.
Hamann feels that the experienced wingers are on the decline and that fresh talent needs to be brought in, in the off-season to ensure Die Roten maintain their position at the top of German football.
Bayern added Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman to their ranks in recent years, but Hamann wants to see the likes of Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez join them as well.
"The wide positions are the ones where Bayern need to act most. Robben and Ribery are still world class, but their performances have been declining," Hamann told AZ.
"They are simply getting older. Bayern need alternatives, players who can go for the one-on-one action. That way you create space elsewhere on the pitch. That is how Bayern have been so successful, Robben and Ribery have made the difference.
"But there are not an awful lot of players who can make the difference at this level. Alexis Sanchez could be an option."
Robben (33) and Ribery (34) both penned contract extensions that will keep them at the Bundesliga champions until the end of next season.
