Paris Saint-Germain head coach Unai Emery refuses to concede defeat in the title race to AS Monaco until it is mathematically impossible to catch the Ligue 1 leaders.

Leonardo Jardim's side need one more victory to secure the French top-flight crown, which will end a run of four successive league titles for PSG.

Despite an impressive 5-0 victory over Bastia on Saturday evening, Les Parisiens have an inferior goal difference of 18 and trail their domestic rivals by three points – having played one game more.

"The aim tonight was to play well and win in front of our home supporters," he said after the game. "The team controlled the game, created chances and scored five goals.

"We need to keep the pressure on Monaco, even if the loss to Nice hurt us. We need to maintain the same winning mentality.

"We have to fucus on ourselves and maintain that motivation to keep playing well. It's out of our hands, but we have to do our job."
