Brandt keen on Leverkusen stay

Julian Brandt

Bayer 04 Leverkusen midfielder Julian Brandt has emphasised his desire to stay at the Bundesliga outfit, despite reports of an upcoming transfer.

The 21-year-old has been linked with moves to both Bayern Munich and Liverpool at the end of the season, but he has stated that he will most likely reject a move.

Brandt believes it is more important for him to play regularly at this stage of his career, and he doubts whether he will receive the same game time at a new club.

“If you make a move, there’s no guarantee that you play,” he told Focus.

“I think it is very important for me to play many matches next season and that’s what I can do in Leverkusen.”

Brandt has made 30 appearances for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga this season producing eight assists and three goals.
