Celta Vigo forward John Guidetti has sent out a warning to Manchester United ahead of their Europa League semi-final first leg fixture on Thursday evening.
The Sweden international, who was once on the books of Manchester City, claims the English Premier League side will struggle to deal with their experienced starting XI and highlighted that the value of the team will not translate into results.
"United are going to struggle with us," he told the Times. "We have very good players, internationals in almost every position."
Despite having a heavily depleted side due to injuries, the Red Devils will still be able to call upon established stars Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial – which the 25-year-old eluded to.
"That's the beauty of football, anything's possible," he added. "Our starting XI cost €8.2 million [about £7 million] and United have one player who cost €100 million [Pogba].
"But they don't start the game leading 2-0 because they cost more — and it does make us a little bit more motivated."
Guidetti has scored four goals and registered as many assists in 11 Europa League outings this season and will be looking to add to those numbers at the Estadio de Balaídos.
