RB Leipzig have confirmed they are interested in signing former Arsenal winger Serge Gnabry from SV Werder Bremen.
The Germany international has scored 10 goals for Bremen in 24 goals since joining from Arsenal last year, and has also been linked with a move to Borussia Dortmund.
“Gnabry is an interesting player,” Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhüttl told Sky Sports News.
“He is a very fast player with a good finish and certainly one of the hottest properties in German football.
“He’s a player who would fit into our plans.”
Leipzig are second on the Bundesliga table, and are guaranteed to finish in the top four, however, their participation in next season’s Champions League is in doubt due to UEFA’s regulations over club ownership.
Red Bull Salzburg are on course to win the Austrian title, however a UEFA rule states “no individual or legal entity may control or influence over more than one club participating in a UEFA club competition”.
