Sunday’s La Liga round-up: Leganes lose to Eibar

Leganés suffered defeat to remain close to the relegation places while Deportivo La Coruna dropped points at Osasuna.

Jhon Mondragon opened the scoring on four minutes for Osasuna before a brace from Guilherme (18, 70) turned the tie on its head. 

But an own goal from Juanfran with 78 minutes, meant the game ended 2-2 and Deportivo La Coruna moved onto 32 points, in 16th places; eight points clear of Sporting Gijon in 18th, with the home side on 19 points at the bottom of the standings.

Rubén Pardo (12) was the only goalscorer for Real Betis in their 4-1 loss to Deportivo Alavés, where Nenad Krsticic (48), Rubén Sobrino (54), Christian Santos (58) and Aleksandar Katai (90) were all on target.

Betis are down in 15th with 37 points, with Alaves up to 10th with 48 points.

Elsewhere, Eibar beat Leganés 2-0 with goals from Kike (62) and Sergi Enrich (66) to end the weekend in eighth with 54 points, with Leganés in 17th with 30 points.

And in the day's final game, Celta de Vigo lost 3-0 to Athletic Club, with Raúl García on target in the 35th and 50th minutes ahead of an 83rd minute goal from Mikel Rico.
