Barcelona head coach Luis Enrique says the 3-0 Spanish Primera derby win over Espanyol at the RCDE Stadium was well deserved and satisfactory.
Barca moved back to the top of the league table, ahead of Real Madrid, after two second-half goals from Luis Suarez and a solitary Ivan Rakitic strike – to put the pressure back onto Zinedine Zidane's side who still have a game in hand.
"I think we read the game well, although there are always things we can improve, and I'm satisfied with what I saw," he said after the game.
"If you play the first half like that, with rhythm and intensity, you tire out your opponent, that then gave us a chance in the second half to find more space.
"Even though it might seem we played much better in the second half than in the first, I was very happy with the team's performance in the first half, and I think this is a well-deserved victory.
"The team was mature enough to know how to identify all the phases of the game."
