Raul Garcia netted deep into injury time to hand Athletic Club a 1-0 victory over Eibar in La Liga action on Monday night.
The visitors were first to test their opponents with Aritz Aduriz heading an early Mikel Balenziaga cross just wide of the target.
Eibar though were full of running with Pedro Leon particularly menacing for the home side.
Mikel San Jose may have done better with a 27th minute header from an Oscar De Marcos cross while Gonzalo Escalante saw his goalbound shot blocked on 35 minutes.
Aymeric Laporte's 39th minute header was deflected away as chances kept coming for both sides in an intriguing La Liga clash.
Sergi Enrich forced Kepa into a good save at the start of the second half before the goalkeeper kept out a Leon effort on 55 minutes.
And just as they appeared to be edging this tie, Eibar were reduced to 10 men as Gonzalo Escalante was red carded.
Sensing an opportunity to hurt their opponents, Athletic raised the tempo, and nearly found an opener, only for Raul Garcia's left-footed shot to come crashing back off the left-hand upright.
Inaki Williams played Iker Muniain through on goal but he couldn't beat Yoel, as Ander Capa skied his effort at the other end.
The final ten or so minutes were categorised by a number of fouls and free-kicks, with neither side seemingly able to break the deadlock.
Garcia got on the end of a Benat Etxebarria cross, following a late free-kick for Athletic, but headed wide with time running out.
But he made no mistake when presented with an opportunity to score with 94 minutes on the clock, from a free-kick; smashing his shot into the back of the net, and leaving Yoel with no chance.
