PSV Eindhoven forward Jurgen Locadia says he will remain in the Eredivisie next season, denying claims of a potential move to the English Premier League.
Despite being limited to only 11 appearances in the Dutch top-flight this season due to injury issues and a lack of fitness, the 23-year-old is still highly regarded amongst Phillip Cocu's technical team.
Reports surfaced in recent months of Premier League and Bundesliga interest in the PSV youth product due to a public spat over his preferred position. But after recently signing a new three-year extension, the Netherlands youth international has reaffirmed his commitment to Boeren.
"I just stay. I've just re-signed. I am developing here every year," he told De Telegraaf. "The position that I play does not matter. I can play well on the left outside position.
"I remain of course a striker and I would prefer to develop there. But when I'm at a club like PSV and can play as a left winger, then that is an honour."
Locadia has scored 52 goals and registered 32 assists in 155 games for the Eredivisie champions since making his first-team debut in 2011.
