Markus Weinzierl is full of confidence his FC Schalke 04 side can overturn a 2-0 deficit from their Europa League quarter-final first leg.
Davy Klaassen scored both goals as Ajax won at the Amsterdam ArenA last week.
And ahead of their upcoming game on Thursday, the Schalke boss believes that his side can progress to the semi-finals.
He told the club's official website: "We’re outsiders, but we have a clear aim and we know that we can achieve it.
“In the last 16, we were 2-0 down at half-time in the second leg against Mönchengladbach and we won because we kept believing until the end."
He added: "We now have 90 minutes against Ajax to turn it around.
"The boys have left a good impression in training; every individual player is highly motivated and wants to do better than we did last time.”
Weinzierl concluded: "We need to be brave, both when we have the ball and when we don’t have the ball. We didn’t do that in the first-leg, said the head coach, who is counting on the fans to be the twelfth man.
“We need to be right up for it and then the feeling will transmit from the pitch the stands!”
