Atletico Madrid have been dealt a blow with the news that experienced right-back Juanfran has been sidelined with a thigh injury.
The 32-year-old picked up the knock in the 55th minute of the 1-1 draw with Leicester on Tuesday.
The club revealed that the former Real Madrid man suffered a grade II muscle injury to his left thigh.
It is unclear just how long he will be out of action for, with Atletico stating on their official website: "Our player will undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation treatment."
Shortly after Juanfran was replaced by Lucas Hernández, left-back Filipe Luis was forced off the field with a hand injury. But luckily for Atletico, he isn't expected to miss any games.
A brief statement from the club read: "Filipe Luis has undergone medical tests this Wednesday in Majadahonda’s Fremap clinic.
"X-rays have confirmed that the Brazilian left-back suffers 'a fracture of the IV metacarpal bone of the right hand.' The Brazilian international will be able to train and play with a splint that will protect his hand."
With Sime Vrsaljko having suffered knee ligament damage in March, Atletico are running short on fully-fit full-backs ahead of the season run-in that continues with a match against Espanyol in La Liga on Saturday.
