Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis was the top-scoring player in official Fantasy Bundesliga on Matchday 29, but who else brought home the bacon? Read on to find out…
Jannik Huth (Mainz, 10 points)
Sliding towards the foot of the table, Mainz desperately needed a result against Hertha Berlin on Saturday and they got it, a 1-0 win that stopped their rot of five straight defeats. Jannik Huth was a giant between the posts for Martin Schmidt’s side and looks likely to retain his spot for the final five games. Kudos to you if you picked Huth this week.

Stefan Bell (Mainz, 16 points)
Bell led by example against the Berliners, putting in a captain’s display to keep out the likes of Salomon Kalou and ensure a first clean sheet since February. Throw in a game-high 16 successful tackles and you have a marvellous performance that would have swelled your points score this week – if you signed him up.
Sokratis (Borussia Dortmund, 20 points)
He was the highest scorer this week and that’s even without a clean sheet. Sokratis earned points for a number of successful tackles, but the coup de grace was his stunning goal, when he turned inside an opponent and rifled one into the top corner. What a goal, what a player, what a pick!
Martin Hinteregger (Augsburg, 14 points)
Like Mainz, Augsburg sorely needed a boost after four defeats in five and they managed it, edging Cologne 2-1. Hinteregger stepped up to score his third goal of the season in a crucial match, and then performed his defensive duties excellently to safeguard the points.
Theodor Gebre Selassie (Werder Bremen, 15 points)
The Czech Republic international was in the XI as recently as Matchday 27 and he takes his place here after another excellent display in a team second in the form table in 2017. Gebre Selassie won an incredible 23 challenges to limit Hamburg to just one goal. That’s now seven wins and two draws from their last nine for Bremen.
Diego Demme (Leipzig, 13 points)
Demme put in just about the perfect performance in Leipzig’s 4-0 win against Freiburg. Impenetrable in the heart of midfield, he dominated the 50-50s and got on the scoresheet as well. The Austrian is as reliable as they come in terms of point-scoring midfielders.

Jerome Gondorf (Darmstadt, 14 points)
Gondorf won more tackles than any other player (14) in Darmstadt’s win over Schalke, and netted the winning goal that keeps the struggling Lilies above water for a little longer.
Kerem Demirbay (Hoffenheim, 19 points)
Before Saturday, Demirbay hadn’t scored since netting a screamer away at Bayern Munich in November. However, you were quids in if you brought him into your team this week. A scintillating performance crowned with two goals made him the second-highest scorer across the division on Matchday 29.
Max Kruse (Werder Bremen, 14 points)
With his FC St Pauli past, the discerning among you may have tipped Max Kruse to make hay against Hamburg on Sunday, and fortune certainly favoured the brave. Kruse scored one and assisted the winner, so well done if you backed your instincts on that one.

Adam Szalai (Hoffenheim, 13 points)
Szalai had never scored in ten matches against Gladbach before the weekend, but he made up for that by bagging two inside the first 24 minutes. A hat-trick was beyond him, but another victory and 13 Fantasy points are solid reward.
Yussuf Poulsen (Leipzig, 14 points)
Poulsen grabbed the winning goal against Leverkusen last weekend and followed that up with another two goals this week against Freiburg. He has often played second fiddle to Timo Werner this season and so may not have been expected to start – but you’d have been well rewarded if you signed him up for this week.
