The Ligue 1 fixture between Olympique Lyonnais and SC Bastia was suspended at half-time after crowd troubles erupted during the fixture on Sunday afternoon.
According to the league's official website, the match was halted after 'serious' incidents took place prior to kick-off and at half-time, with Bastia supporters invading the pitch.
"The definitive decision was taken in conformity with the instructions emitted by the Departmental Director of Public Security (DDSP), the representative of the prefect of Upper Corsica (Haute-Corse), during the crisis meeting held before kick-off," the statement read.
"After the insupportable behaviour of a section of the supporters at the Stade Armand-Césari the LFP demands of SC Bastia that they take all necessary measures in order to proceed with stadium bans for the individuals responsible, and more generally that they take all measures necessary to guarantee the security of matches that take place in their stadium."
No news has been revealed whether the match will complete it's course or if the relegation-threatened side will be punished for the incidents.
