Defending champions PSV lost more ground on their title rivals after being held to a 1-1 draw by ADO Den Haag at the Kyocera Stadion on Saturday.
Davy Propper's seventh-minute goal looked to have secured a vital win for Phillip Cocu's side, but Mike Havenaar snatched an equaliser three minutes from time to dash their hopes.

The third-placed Boeren are now four points adrift of Feyenoord at the Eredivisie summit, having played a game more than the top two, while the Hague edged four points clear of the relegation zone in 13th position.
Elsewhere, Roda JC climbed out of the bottom three after emerging 3-1 victors against Sparta Rotterdam in a relegation six-pointer at Parkstad Limburg Stadion.
A goal in each half from Abdul Ajagun (14', 61') put the hosts in control, although De Kasteelheren threatened a fightback when Thomas Verhaar pulled one back 13 minutes from time.
However, Mikhail Rosheuvel sealed the win in the final minute as De Koempels swapped places with the Rotterdam outfit, who dropped to 16th.
Meanwhile, Nigel Hasselbaink's 13th-minute winner saw Excelsior edge out Vitesse 1-0 at Stadion Woudestein.
The Kralingers pulled three points clear of the relegation places up to 14th, with Vitas remaining unmoved in fifth spot.
Twente strengthened their Europa League bid with a 3-0 win over strugglers NEC at De Grolsch Veste.
A brace from Enes Unal (12', 90') helped the seventh-placed Tukkers to victory, with Fredrik Jensen (58') also getting on the scoresheet to inflict a sixth straight defeat on NEC, who fell to 17th position.
