Dybala pens new long-term Juventus contract

Juventus striker Paulo Dybala has signed a new five-year contract at the Serie A giants, ending speculation linking him with a move at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old was linked with both La Liga rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona, but has opted to extend his stay at the Serie A champions instead.

Dybala netted a brace against Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie on Tuesday to lead the Bianconeri to a 3-0 victory.

"Juventus Football Club is pleased to announce that Paulo Dybala has renewed his contract until June 30 2022, extending a journey that began in July 2015," a statement on the club's official website said.

"Juventus is stepping into the future and they will be doing so joined by La Joya for the next four years."

The club added: "Clearly, the moments of brilliance that have characterised his stay in Turin so far are in inexhaustible supply."
