PSV Eindhoven manager Phillip Cocu praised his side’s 5-0 win over Willem II as the best remedy, following a mid-week draw with FC Twente.
The Eredivisie champions claimed a 2-2 draw with the Tukkers on Thursday to leave them in third, five points adrift from league leaders Feyenoord with four games remaining this season.
While a three-horse title race with De Stadionclub and Ajax Amsterdam is still alive, Cocu was thrilled by his squad's response against Erwin van de Looi's side on Sunday afternoon.
"I am satisfied with a solid team performance," he told reporters after the victory. "We were in control for the full 90 minutes and played at a high tempo from the first whistle.
"The players have put in a fine display, earned an emphatic win and made amends for the poor result on Thursday."
PSV are aiming to secure a third successive league title in their final four fixtures.
