TSG 1899 Hoffenheim manager Julian Nagelsmann says he ‘gets his best ideas in the bathroom’ and likes to mix up his philosophies in the hope of a successful recipe.
The 29-year-old certainly seems to have come across a recipe for success, his side currently occupying third spot on the Bundesliga table.
And coming off the high of beating German giants FC Bayern München midweek thanks to a 1-0 win at the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, Nagelsmann had some rather colourful descriptions.
“To win is like a drug. I never tried drugs but I imagine a drug noise to be like that,” he told Bild.
“After one minute 20 (seconds) you could see our plan. I thought, ‘It’s not possible that out plan works that well’. It’s mad.
“I have my best ideas in the bathroom. After it I paint my idea on a paper with a ruler and a lead pencil. I work like a baker. I mix things, shove them in the oven and see if it tastes well.”
Hoffenheim are in action this weekend when they take on Hamburg this weekend at the Volksparkstadion on Saturday.
