Stoke City boss Mark Hughes is confident January signing Saido Berahino will prove to be an astute signing in time.
The 23-year-old Berahino joined the Potters in a £12million deal from West Bromwich Albion, but has failed to live up to expectations since the switch.
After missing five months of Premier League action earlier this season, which included an eight-week drugs ban, the Burundi-born forward hasn't found the back of the net yet for his new club.
However, Hughes is confident the player will come good in time.
"He hasn't played a lot of football this year and he's still getting up to speed," Hughes told the media ahead of Stoke's match against Liverpool at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.
"These games are invaluable and I feel we will see a marked difference next season.
"It's always difficult coming in at half-term but he's integrated well into the squad and we want to get him up and running in terms of goals."
