Thursday’s Eredivisie round-up

Defending champions PSV fell further behind in the title race on Thursday, while Roda JC picked up a vital win in their battle against relegation.

Phillip Cocu's PSV saw their crown drift further away after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Twente at De Grolsch Veste.

The hosts took a surprise seventh-minute lead through Enes Unal, but De Boeren hit back swiftly 10 minutes later with an equaliser from Jurgen Locadia.

The two teams went into the break level pegging, although parity lasted just six second-half minutes as Hector Moreno put the visitors ahead.

However, the men from Eindhoven would be denied victory at the death when Bersant Celina rescued a point for the Tukkers in stoppage time.

Cocu's side find themselves seven points off the league summit in third place, while the Enschede outfit occupy the final Europa League spot in seventh.

Meanwhile, Roda JC kept their survival hopes alive as they came from a goal down to beat PEC Zwolle 2-1 at Parkstad Limburg Stadion.

The visitors took a 1-0 lead into the break through Youness Mokhtar's 40th-minute opener, but De Koempels responded early in the second half as Gyliano van Velzen (48') drew them level.

Yannis Anastasiou then completed a dramatic comeback when Mikhail Rosheuvel struck the winner one minute from time.

The Kerkrade club remain in 16th position, although they closed to within two points of safety, with Blauwvingers occupying 12th spot.

Roda JC 2-1 PEC Zwolle
