Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was happy with his team's 3-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves on Sunday but admits that the final score was harsh on their opponents.
Real, who were far from their best, took the lead after 30 minutes through Karim Benzema and were made to sweat until Isco and Nacho scored in the final minutes to seal the win that maintained Los Blancos' lead at the top of the La Liga standings.
Although not at the fluent best despite all the attacking talent on the pitch, Zidane was impressed that his side got the three points when they were not firing on all cylinders.
Zidane said after the game: "We were in difficulties, it was not a good moment as we had been losing the ball in midfield.
"We played against a team who lately have been playing very well. In the first half we were very superior, made chances and scored.
"The second was a bit worse, above all in our possession of the ball. But in the end we managed to score three goals. It was maybe a bit harsh on them, but we kept a clean sheet too, which is very positive."
