Carlton Cole has followed in the footsteps of former Chelsea team-mate Michael Essien in signing for Indonesian side Persib Bandung.
Cole has agreed a 10 month contract at Persib – with the option of extending that deal – after a spell with American side Sacramento Republic came to an end in October.

The 33-year-old – who made more than 200 Premier League appearances during spells at Chelsea, West Ham, Aston Villa and Charlton – becomes Persib’s second high profile signing this month.
Ghana midfielder Essien joined Persib on a one-year contract after leaving Greek club Panathinaikos.
Cole said: “I never knew my career would bring me to Indonesia, (but) this is a great club. I want to pay for the support of the fans by scoring a lot of goals.
“Essien joining simplified the process for me to come over here. He’s a big player in Europe. The Persib fans are great. I’m happy to be here.”
