Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore believes the club have nothing to fear ahead of Saturday’s Coupe de la Ligue final against Monaco at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais.
The Parisians have played second fiddle to the Red and Whites for most of 2016/17, and a defeat could dent confidence in a camp still reeling from being demolished in the UEFA Champions League by Barcelona.
Monaco currently lead Ligue 1 by three points ahead of PSG and boast a considerable goal difference advantage as well. Confidence seems high in Leonardo Jardim's team as they recently dumped giants Manchester City out at the UCL Round of 16 phase.
Nonetheless, Pastore remains confident that PSG have the quality to hurt their rivals.
He told PSG TV: "These last four seasons, we've won a lot of domestic titles, and each time we have gone out to win them with great desire. We're going to try and do the same thing on Saturday. We know we're playing a great team, but we're also very good."
