Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi has assured fans that he is eager to spend as much of his career as possible at the club, if not the entirety of it.
The Nerazzurri striker has on many occasions been linked with a move away from the Serie A outfit, but he has quashed those rumours, insisting that he wants to help Inter be successful.
"I want to stay here forever. I'm the captain of this great club, I'm happy in Milan and so are my family. I hope to have a long career with Inter," said Icardi, responding to a fan's question on Inter Channel's Facebook page.
"The Champions League? I want to play in it with Inter. We hope to be ready. I expect a lot [from this team] we have the skills and qualities to do great things. The club is doing great things to help the team.
"The first thing we felt from them (owners Suning Commerce Group) was the desire to bring Inter back to where we were in the past and win a lot of things.
"They'll try to improve us every year, bringing in players who can help the team."
