Ajax Amsterdam forward Justin Kluivert says he would like to follow in his father’s footsteps by playing for Barcelona one day.
Kluivert, 17, recently broke into the first-team squad at the Amsterdam Arena and his explosive displays at development level have often drawn comparisons to his father, Patrick's meteoric rise in Dutch football.
However, the latest attacking sensation from the conveyer belt of talent that's produced at Sportpark De Toekomst says his idol is not his father, but rather Cristiano Ronaldo.
"I look up to Cristiano Ronaldo," he told Goal. "Not just because of his qualities, which are obvious, but also the way he lives and eats and how hard he trains. He is really an example for me.
"But Barcelona is my dream club. Within seven years, I would like to be at Barcelona. But before that I would like to play in England as well," Kluivert added. "I really like that competition [the Premier League] and I would like to play there."
Kluivert has scored one goal in nine appearances for Peter Bosz side since making his first-team debut in January.
