Ashley Cole says he has no regrets over his departure from Arsenal, and even admitted that he still laughs about their lack of success to this day.
The LA Galaxy defender was appearing on an ITV show when he told host Holly Willoughby: “Regret leaving Arsenal? No. I had a great time there.
“I missed the old players that were there but I moved on and won every trophy I could. I wouldn’t look back and say I regretted it, no.”
Arsenal fan and comedian Romesh Ranganathan then asked Cole whether he laughs about Arsenal’s lack of success since he left, and Cole replied, saying: “If I’m honest, yeah – I still think to this day.
“I laugh to myself. I had a lot of history there and I think the way I left was maybe a bit dodgy but the lack of respect they showed me as well.”

Cole spent six years at Arsenal, winning two Premier League titles and three FA Cups with the Gunners before controversially signing for Chelsea in 2006 for £5 million plus William Gallas. He stayed at Chelsea for eight years, winning another Premier League title, four FA Cups, a Champions League, and a number of other trophies.
He then had a spell in Italy with Roma before moving to Los Angeles last year.
Wonder what Arsenal fans will think of his comments?
