FC Bayern München trio David Alaba, Robert Lewandowski and Mats Hummels have showered Franck Ribery with praise after the winger starred on his comeback in a 3-0 DFB-Pokal win over FC Schalke 04.
The Frenchman gave a virtuoso display on the left wing and had a hand in all three Bayern goals. His performance was all the more remarkable because he had just returned from injury after a month on the sidelines.
His showing helped the Bavarians to an easy win as they cruised into the semi-finals of the competition.

As such, Alaba praised his colleague highly by telling the club’s official website: “He was out injured but has come back to give an amazing effort after a long time out. It’s remarkable how he works on the pitch.”
Lewandowski added: “He’s an amazing player. It’s always fun playing with him and something can always happen.”
Meanwhile, Hummels said: “He’s in the category of ‘always delivers when on the pitch’. It’s always a shame for us when he’s missing. Whenever he’s there, he’s always an unbelievable improvement and asset.”
