FC Bayern München manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed his side are hungry to advance to the next round of the DFB-Pokal Cup ahead of Wednesday’s quarter-final tie with FC Schalke 04.
The Bavarians go into the clash in top form after having hammered Hamburger SV 8-0 in the Bundesliga. In addition, a recent 5-1 thrashing of Arsenal in the Champions League means Bayern are feeling confident.
However, Ancelotti is not getting complacent and has urged his team to keep striving for more.
He told the club's official website: "We’re playing with a very good attitude at the moment. Without this attitude we wouldn't be able to show our quality. We can still do better.
"It has given the team confidence, but tomorrow is a completely different game. It’s a quarter-final and we want to progress to the semis. We want to get to Berlin!"
The Italian added: "I imagine they’ll play similarly to the previous game with the same system. They’ll defend tightly with five men and try to counter."
