Firmino: Liverpool will give absolute all

Versatile Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino says the team will give nothing less than everything as they fight for a top-four finish in the Premier League.

The Reds are out of every other competition and finishing in the Champions League places appears to be about the best they can realistically hope for.

Jurgen Klopp's side face an important match against strugglers Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Monday night, in their quest to reach the top four.

As such, Firmino has sent out something of an ominous warning to the Foxes about just how determined the Merseysiders are to reach their goals.

The Brazil international told the club's official website: "We have to work a lot harder and we have an obligation to try and achieve the top four for that reason – that we do have more rest. And that's what we're going to continue to try to do.

"It's very important for the team and the players. We intend to fight to the end so that we can achieve that top-four position. The objective is to end in the top four. We are going to keep on fighting until the last game to achieve that goal. We're going to carry on giving our absolute all."

Liverpool are in fifth place and could go to third if they beat Leicester at home on Monday, as they boast a better goal difference than Manchester City. who currently occupy that position.
