FC Bayern München veterans Arjen Robben and Philipp Lahm believe they have an excellent partnership on the right-hand side and have plenty to more to offer despite both being 33.
The two superstars were in superb form during Bayern's 8-0 demolition of Hamburger SV last Saturday in the Bundesliga. Robben grabbed a goal and assist and was ably supported by Lahm in the contest.
As such, Robben was full of praise for the Bavarians captain who is retiring at the end of 2016/17. He told the club's official website: "At one point in the first half both of us almost had to laugh. I got the ball at the half-way line and immediately saw him.
"We both sprinted. It makes me very proud to have played with such a great footballer, the captain, for so many years. I hope we can say goodbye to him with some titles."
Lahm added of the Dutch international and his playing career: "I really like to play with Arjen. We get along superbly and have been playing together for some years now, so we know each other's runs and how we can support each other. Our play is a bit different from our system in the last few years, so I have to run a bit more up and down the flank. But it doesn't hurt."
