Monchengladbach win, Schalke draw with Hoffenheim

VfL Borussia Monchengladbach grabbed a slightly unconvincing win while FC Schalke 04 and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim shared the spoils in the Bundesliga on Sunday evening.

FC Ingolstadt 04 will feel aggrieved to come away from their match against Monchengladbach at Audi Sportpark with nothing after arguably getting the better of the chances.

However, the Monchengladbach were far more clinical with their efforts on goal, especially after half time with Lars Stindl breaking the deadlock in the 60th minute.

Andre Hahn added the second one minute into injury time at the end of the match to secure the points for the away side.

In the days other game, goals at each end of the match meant that Schalke and Hoffenheim would leave Veltins Arena with a point apiece.

Alessandro Schopf opened the scoring for the Miners in just the fifth minute. The visitors fought back well, but had to wait all the way until the 79th minute for Sebastian Rudy to finally get them an equaliser.
