Toure ‘wishes’ he was Brazilian

Former Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure has joked that he wants to change his passport in order to play with Neymar and Philippe Coutinho in the Brazilian team.

The Manchester City midfielder had an illustrious career for the Elephants, making 102 appearances and scoring 19 goals.

Brazil, meanwhile, are playing some scintillating football under coach Tite, with Neymar and Coutinho arguably the two key players for the Selecao.

During an interview with Globo, Toure joked that he would consider switching nationalities in order to play with the Neymar and the other Brazil stars.

"Playing with Neymar, with Philippe Coutinho… I want to play with them," he told Globo.

"Maybe I will change my passport. We'll see."
