Deportivo La Coruna full-back Luisinho says losing Juanfran would be a "big loss for the team" amid reports he could join Barcelona.
The 28-year-old Juanfran, who is a former Real Madird defender, is currently on loan in La Liga from Premier League side Watford.
Barca are allowed to sign a player already registered in Spain, and are reportedly considering signing Juanfran due to a long-term injury to Aleix Vidal.
The Galicians have an ‘option to buy’ the Spainiard at the end of the season, with Luisinho explaining: "Juanfran shouldn't be able to leave, given that it would be an important loss.
"He should not be able to leave because the transfer window has closed. He's not heard anything firm, either, and is happy here. He's already rejected other offers.
"I'd prefer not to imagine it. He's an important player for us and he's having a great season.
"If he has to leave, then let it be for his own good — but we know it would be a big loss for the team."
