Former France international Emmanuel Petit is convinced that Antoine Griezmann will leave Atletico Madrid and become a Manchester United Player.
Sources in the UK claim that United are interested in signing Griezmann, should he become available in the summer.
Unsurprisingly, Mourinho and Co view the 25-year-old striker as a good fit for the side. And being relatively young he would also be a superb long-term investment.
Griezmann has also previously spoken of his desire to play club football with France team-mate Paul Pogba, and Petit seems sure that he will make the move.
“I think he will come to Manchester United, definitely,” the former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder told Soccer AM.
“He has a great partnership with Pogba in the national team, they are very good friends as well.
“He will bring goals, assists and his winning mentality as well.”
Griezman and Pogba have posted a number of photographs together on social media and their friendship and desire to play together seems very real. If Pogba should help motivate the Atletico man to make the move to Old Trafford, he’ll go a lot further towards justifying his enormous price tag.
