Kick-off: 16H30 (GMT 2)
Venue: Olympiastadion Berlin

Head-to-head summary:

Hertha 61 8 16 37
Bayern Munich 61 37 16 8

Previous encounter:

Bayern Munich 3-0 Hertha 21/09/16 (Bundesliga)

Bayern goalscorers: Franck Ribery (16'), Thiago (68'), Arjen Robben (72')

Players to watch:

In order for the hosts to find a way through the Bayern defence, they will be looking towards the likes of striker Vedad Ibisevic. The 32-year-old leads the club's scoring charts with 10 goals in 24 appearances, while former Chelsea forward Salomon Kalou has contributed six goals.

Robert Lewandowski has blessed Die Roten with a superb goal return this season. The Polish striker has racked up no less than 24 goals in 30 games so far, and scored earlier this week in the 5-1 win over Arsenal in the Champions League.

Team form and manager quotes:

Hertha have seen themselves drop down the standings since December when they were up in third position. In their last seven Bundesliga games, they have won only twice, losing the other five. The poor run has caused them to slip down to sixth in the table. Their most recent disappointment being a 2-0 win at FC Schalke on Saturday.

"If we have a good day shape, bite and run, then we can get a point," Hertha manager Pal Dardai told the press.

Bayern have been in irresistible form over the last few months, winning 11 of their 12 games in all competitions. Their most recent victory saw them humiliate Arsenal 5-1 in the last-16 of the Champions League. The result followed wins over Wolfsburg, in the DFB Pokal, and Ingolstadt, in the Bundesliga.

"I do not see Thiago as an alternative for Muller. Thiago is a very different player," Ancelotti said at a press conference.

"They might both play against Hertha. I could rotate some players compared to the game against Arsenal."

Team news:

Hertha have four new injury concerns with Valentin Stocker, Julian Schieber, Miklas Stark, and Ondrej Duda possibly missing out on the clash due to injury problems.

Bayern are still unable to call upon defender Jerome Boateng, who is recovering from a shoulder injury, while Franck Ribery is also sidelined with a thigh strain. Ancelotti may also bring Thomas Muller back into the starting XI after his goal against Arsenal in midweek.
